The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is offering the Lasker Clinical Research Scholars Program to support the research activities of early-stage, independent clinical researchers. This grant aims to provide a unique bridge between NIH’s intramural and extramural research communities. The program features two distinct phases. Initially, scholars will receive appointments for 5-7 years as tenure-track investigators within the NIH Intramural Research Program, complete with independent research budgets. Following this, successful scholars can receive up to three years of NIH support for their research at an extramural research facility, or they may choose to remain as investigators within the intramural program. This initiative is for fostering the careers of promising clinical investigators.
