Description:: This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) seeks to support basic and translational research on the neurobiology of sex differences. Specifically, NIMH and ORWH solicit revision applications (formerly called competitive supplement applications) that explicitly test hypotheses regarding neural mechanisms underlying sex differences relevant to mental health. Applications should articulate a strong rationale for how the proposed project will significantly advance our understanding of the etiology and/or underlying pathophysiology of mental disorders in males and females.
