The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) is offering this grant to support ancillary studies designed to deepen our understanding of the distinct clinical and biomarker signatures of premanifest or prodromal Huntington’s disease (HD). This grant is for researchers who will coordinate their work with the NINDS-funded PREDICT-HD study, an international 32-site observational study. PREDICT-HD provides extensive clinical data and biospecimen resources from 800 premanifest HD participants and 200 healthy control subjects, collected over a ten-year period. Available data includes UHDRS motor examination, cognitive, neuropsychiatric assessments, and structural MRI imaging. The purpose is to leverage these rich resources to advance knowledge in HD.
