The B-WET Chesapeake grant program, offered by NOAA, is a competitive initiative supporting high-quality environmental education across the entire Chesapeake Bay watershed. This grant is for fostering existing programs, developing innovative new ones, and building partnerships in environmental education. Successful projects will deliver Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEEs), integrating hands-on field activities with classroom instruction on NOAA-related content about the Bay. The program aims to provide students with valuable learning, offer professional development for teachers, and enhance overall watershed education capacity, aligning with NOAA’s strategic education and stewardship goals for the region.
