The NOAA National Sea Grant College Program and Office of Program Planning and Integration are offering Regional Team Collaboration Grants. This initiative aims to fund projects that advance key areas including climate adaptation, sustainable seafood, coastal and marine spatial planning, Arctic research, Gulf of Mexico restoration, and ecosystem-based management. Projects must be jointly endorsed by NOAA Regional Teams and Sea Grant programs within the region. Individual proposals are capped at $30,000, with up to eight grants anticipated. For eligibility, the Project PI must be a NOAA Federal employee, and the co-PI a Sea Grant Program employee. While federal, state, tribal, academic, and non-profit organizations can partner, funds can be received by NOAA employees or non-Federal applicants through a competitive process. A total of up to $240,000 is available for this purpose.

Description: | For FY2011, the NOAA National Sea Grant College Program and Office of Program Planning and Integration anticipate making available up to $240,000 to support projects that advance climate adaptation, sustainable seafood, coastal and marine spatial planning, Arctic research and management, Gulf of Mexico restoration, and/or ecosystem-based management as outlined in the NOAA FY2011 Annual Guidance Memorandum (http://www.ppi.noaa.gov/PPI_Capabilities/Documents/AGMs/FY13-17_AGM.pdf). These regional collaboration grants will be awarded only to proposals endorsed jointly by the NOAA Regional Teams and the Sea Grant programs in the region. Requests for individual projects may not exceed $30,000. NOAA employees, non-Federal applicants, or both are eligible to receive funds on each proposal.
