Agency Name: National Park Service
Description: The National Park Service, Chesapeake Bay Office is accepting project proposals from Chesapeake Bay Gateways and Trail partners for financial assistance awards. Public water access site development projects that advance the development of designated Gateways water trails, the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail, and/or the Star-Spangled Banner National Historic Trail are the funding priority for fiscal year 2014.Projects must occur within the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Funding requests may range from $10,000 to $125,000; and there must be an equal (1:1) or greater non-Federal match. Applicants for NPS Chesapeake Bay financial assistance awards must be either a non-profit organization (qualified as such under section 501 of the Internal Revenue Code) or a state or local government. Applications must be submitted by 3:00 pm on Friday April 11, 2014. Potential project applicants are strongly encouraged to contact NPS staff to discuss the proposed project in advance of sumbitting an application.
