This announcement is to provide public notice of the NPS’s intentions to award financial assistance for the following project activities without competition to Front Range Community College a member of the Rocky Mountains Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Units. This project engages a community college partner and students in classifying coastal bottom habitats and developing mapping products. Front Range Community College will provide technical assistance on nationwide mapping initiatives, facilitate student involvement in the same, review and classify underwater imagery, and develop mapping visualization products for use in management and outreach. NPS will contribute datasets and imagery, provide project oversight and technical assistance, and engage park interpreters and communications staff in sharing mapping products publicly. Data analysis and product development associated with coastal and benthic habitat activities in national park units. |
