Description: The objective of this Agreement is to partially support North Country Trail Association staff who support and coordinate the work of the Trail volunteers in the protection, building, maintenance, development and promotion of the North Country National Scenic Trail. North Country Trail Association has been the lead non-profit partner with NPS in the management of North Country Trail since its inception. It has an established infrastructure comprised of over thirty chapters of volunteers and affiliate trail organizations who work to build, maintain and promote the trail. NCTA is an integral part of the past, present and future of the trail. This agreement will advance the public purpose with the substantial involvement of NPS through collaboration in prioritized work and project planning, development of joint protection and development strategies, joint resolution of development and management issues as they arise, comprehensive member/volunteer training, and technical assistance and guidance.
