The NSF-CBMS is offering this grant to support Regional Research Conferences in the Mathematical Sciences, designed to advance specialized knowledge and foster collaboration. This grant is specifically for organizing intensive five-day conferences, each featuring a distinguished lecturer who delivers ten in-depth lectures on a sharply focused, important current research area within the mathematical sciences. The program aims to foster advanced study by providing financial support for approximately 30 participants at each conference. The Conference Board of the Mathematical Sciences (CBMS) publicizes these events and administers the resulting publications. Proposals should clearly demonstrate an understanding of the unique structure and educational goals of the NSF-CBMS conferences, contributing significantly to the mathematical community.
