The National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics (NCSES), a principal federal statistical agency of the National Science Foundation (NSF), offers this grant to advance research on the science and technology (S&T) enterprise. This grant is for supporting analytic and methodological research that enhances NCSES’s surveys, data collection, and dissemination efforts. Proposals are encouraged to utilize NCSES’s large-scale nationally representative datasets for S&T research, develop improved survey methodologies, create and refine S&T indicators, and strengthen methods for analyzing and disseminating S&T statistical data. The grant also supports the education and training of researchers in these areas. Individual or multi-investigator projects, doctoral dissertation improvement awards, workshops, and experimental research are welcome.
