| Additional Information on Eligibility: | Any public or private nonprofit entity located in any one of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, Republic of Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands is eligible to apply for a grant under this announcement. Faith-based organizations and American Indian/Alaskan Native/Native American (AI/AN/NA) organizations that are public or non-profit private entities are eligible to apply. Community based organizations that are public or non-profit private entities are eligible to apply. Examples of eligible Organizations include: • State Governments • U.S. territories • County Governments • City or township governments • Special district governments • Independent school districts • Public and State controlled institutions of higher education • Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized) • Public Housing authorities/Indian housing authorities • Native American tribal organizations (other than federally recognized tribal governments) • Nonprofits having 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education • Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education • Private institutions of higher education |

| Description: | The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH), Office of Population Affairs announces the anticipated availability of funds for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 under the authority of Title X of the Public Health Service Act, Section 1004 (42 U.S.C. 300a-2).
The primary focus of OASH is leading America to healthier lives, especially for those who are most vulnerable, including those who have suffered historic disparities. In support of this vision, the Office of Population Affairs (OPA) promotes health across the reproductive lifespan through innovative, evidence-based adolescent health and family planning programs, services, strategic partnerships, evaluation, and research. OPA prioritizes advancing equity for all, including people of color and others who are in need of family planning and sexual and reproductive health services, and are uninsured or underinsured. OPA administers the Title X family planning services program, the Teen Pregnancy Prevention (TPP) Program, and the Embryo Adoption Awareness (EAA) program. OPA advises the Secretary of HHS and the Assistant Secretary for Health on a wide range of topics, including adolescent health, family planning, sterilization, and other population issues. We invite applications from public or private nonprofit entities to conduct research or analyses that will lead to feasible and effective strategies to increase equitable access to quality Title X family planning services among clients in need of family planning and sexual and reproductive health services.
