Purpose of Program: The purpose of the Project Prevent Grant Program is to provide grants to local educational agencies (LEAs) impacted by community violence and to expand the capacity of LEAs to implement community- and school-based strategies to help prevent community violence and mitigate the impacts of exposure to community violence.

SUMMARY: On August 19, 2022, the Department of Education (Department) published in the Federal Register a notice inviting applications (NIA) for the fiscal year 2022 Project Prevent competition, Assistance Listing Number 84.184M. This notice corrects the maximum award amount for a single budget period from $600,000 to $800,000. All other information in the NIA remains the same. DATES: These corrections are applicable September 1, 2022.
