The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is offering this grant to Wyoming to enhance its juvenile justice system. This grant is for the purpose of developing secure and nonsecure alternatives for juveniles in custody and ensuring compliance with the JJDP Act’s core requirements. Wyoming receives these competitive funds via the FY 2009 Nonparticipating State Program because it does not participate in the standard Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act (JJDP Act) Formula Grants Program. The program specifically targets policy revisions and procedure implementation to address Sections 233(a)(11), (12), (13), and (22) of the Act.
