The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is offering this grant to expand understanding of nontraditional mentoring programs as a strategy against juvenile delinquency. This grant is for evaluating the effectiveness of selected group mentoring programs supported by local Boys and Girls Clubs. The chosen evaluator will collaborate with Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) to define the project scope and monitor program implementation across various sites. The evaluation will include both process and outcome measures to assess successful implementation and the programs’ impact on intervening in and reducing juvenile delinquency. This initiative aims to identify program elements that best achieve desired changes in participating youth.
