The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is offering this grant to fund field-initiated research and evaluation studies. This grant is for the purpose of identifying promising and effective strategies, programs, and methods that can assist states and local communities. The primary goal is to help them achieve and maintain compliance with the four core requirements of OJJDP’s authorizing legislation, the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (JJDP) Act of 2002. Researchers are encouraged to propose studies that will uncover successful programs and strategies. Ultimately, these efforts aim to enable states and local communities to significantly improve their adherence to one or more of the core requirements outlined in the JJDP Act, thereby strengthening juvenile justice practices nationwide.
