The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is offering this grant to support the National Juvenile Probation Census Project (NJPCP). This initiative involves the implementation, ongoing development, and maintenance of two vital national data collection programs: the Census of Juvenile Probation Supervision Offices (CJPSO) and the Census of Juveniles on Probation (CJP). This grant is specifically for measuring the number and characteristics of juveniles under probation supervision across the United States. It also aims to document the characteristics and practices of juvenile probation supervision offices nationwide, providing crucial insights for juvenile justice policy and program development. This effort is authorized by sections of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974.
