Eligible Applicants:: Small businesses
Additional Information on Eligibility:: Eligible applicants are limited to nonprofit and for-profit organizations (including tribal nonprofit and for-profit organizations), and institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education). For-profit organizations must agree to forgo any profit or management fee.

OJJDP welcomes joint applications from two or more eligible applicants; however, one applicant must be clearly indicated as the primary applicant (for correspondence, award, and management purposes) and the others indicated as co-applicants.

Description:: The AMBER Alert program is a partnership of law enforcement, broadcasters and media, transportation agencies, emergency management agencies, telecommunications/call centers, other public safety agencies, and child protection organizations and professionals dedicated to recovering endangered missing and abducted children. The National AMBER Alert Training and Technical Assistance Program serves to increase the nation’s capacity to respond to incidents of endangered missing and abducted children. This program is authorized under Section 405 of the Missing Children’s Act, which is Title IV of the Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974 (42 U.S.C. 5771 et seq.).
