| Additional Information on Eligibility: | Any domestic public or private, non-profit or for-profit organizations located in a State (which includes one of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, Republic of Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands) is eligible to apply for the cooperative agreement under this announcement. Eligible organizations may include State, local, and Indian tribal governments; institutions of higher education; other non-profit organizations (including faith-based, community-based, and tribal organizations); and hospitals. The applicant organization must demonstrate: � Significant expertise and experience in the publication, printing, distribution, and marketing of a peer-reviewed scientific journal. � Familiarity with general public health principles. � Significant experience with successfully managing complex websites. � Ability to work with academic institutions; federal, state, and local health officials; and public health researchers, policy makers, and practitioners. � Thorough knowledge of sound program management principles, including fiscal management. � Familiarity with information/education/communication concepts. � An ability to hire and support an appropriate professional staff to accomplish the requirements of this cooperative agreement. |
