OJP is committed to advancing work that promotes civil rights and racial equity, increases access to justice, supports crime victims and individuals impacted by the justice system, strengthens community safety and protects the public from crime and evolving threats, and builds trust between law enforcement and the community. To enhance capacity to identify, assist, and provide services to all victims of human trafficking, OVC leads the Nation in supporting victim-centered and trauma-informed programs, policies, and resources that promote justice, access, and empowerment.With this solicitation, OVC provides support to develop and expand multidisciplinary, collaborative model task forces to combat human trafficking, as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act (TVPA) of 2000 and its reauthorizations. This program will provide funding for services to victims of human trafficking, as defined by 22 U.S.C. § 7102(11).
