Description: The new digital era of media, and the globalization of economic, political and security issues have brought new challenges to journalism and communication. The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Consulate in Kolkata (PAS Kolkata) seeks proposals for a project entitled “Regional Security in a Digital Era: Workshop for Media Practitioners and Journalists.” The project, a three-day regional workshop, will provide an opportunity for prominent mid-career journalists, online editors, social media practitioners, bloggers and think tank commentators from the United States, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Burma, to develop their skills in international reporting and enhance their professional network abroad through digital platforms and physical connections.
