Agency Name: Bureau of Reclamation – Lower Colorado Region
Description: The objective of this FOA is to invite irrigation and water districts, states, local governments, water providers, and other entities that have a tie to Reclamation projects to leverage their money and resources by cost sharing with Reclamation to assess the potential for water management improvements and identify specific ways to implement those improvements. Projects/Activities funded will be selected through a competitive process. Activities/projects to be considered are System Optimization Reviews (SOR’s) consisting of (1) assessment of the potential for water management improvements in a river basin, system, or district, (2) report identifying specific improvements to increase efficiency, including a plan of action for implementing the recommendations which may include physical improvements, such as modernizing a water delivery system, changing operations to improve efficiency, or facilitating water transfers or water marketing.
