This experience should be documented in the organization’s proposal. A copy of the organizations registration should be provided with the proposal application. Organizations should submit a copy of their certificate of registration from the appropriate government organization. |

Description:: | The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Islamabad announces an open competition for registered NGOs for a cooperative agreement to coordinate logistics associated with establishing and administering American Spaces in Pakistan during the period of September 23, 2013 to September 30, 2015. American Spaces are information and program venues located throughout Pakistan, called either Lincoln Corners or American Centers. Lincoln Corners are situated in non-U.S. government sites in partnership with Pakistani institutions. There are currently 13 Lincoln Corners in Pakistan and one other may be developed during the period. American Centers are wholly owned and operated U.S. government locations. One may be developed during the period.American Spaces help maintain dialogue and build bridges of understanding, representing the nations longstanding commitment to share the American ideas and values of democracy and education to strengthen civil society. They operate like a hybrid of a library, internet café, and community center. The budget available for this program will support all logistical costs, including materials, hardware, furnishings, renovation costs, books, salaries, some utilities, and all operating expenses. |
