Additional Information on Eligibility:: Eligibility is open to all U.S., Afghan, and international non-profit organizations with direct experience in youth exchange programs in Central and South Asia. Organizations must demonstrate current country registration license (if applicable), policies for human resources, procurement, travel policies, list of board of trustees (if applicable), provide the actual office space from where the organization is functioning, evidence of acceptable accounting software use, competent programmatic ability, and be able to meet reporting requirements. Non-Afghan organizations are required to partner with an Afghan organization or company.

Description:: The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul announces a Request for Grant Proposals (RFGP) for international and registered Afghan non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for a cooperative agreement to coordinate logistics associated with administering a youth exchange program for Central and South Asian youth from Afghanistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan during the period of May 2013 through September 2013, for a camp that will take place for two weeks in August 2013. The budget available for this program will include all logistical costs, to include pre-departure orientations, travel, camp fees, personnel, and all operating expenses associated with the participation of the students from Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The participation of students from Pakistan will be funded through a separate award.
