Eligible organizations must have past experience with developing and executing journalism training. A copy of the organization’s registration should be provided with the proposal application. |

Description: | The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the Embassy of the United States in Islamabad, Pakistan, is pleased to announce an open competition for an assistance award through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). PAS Islamabad invites all eligible organizations (see Section C for Eligibility Requirements) to submit a proposal for a grant or cooperative agreement to train 300 – 400 Pakistani working-level journalists, anchors, editors, and producers of regional language media outlets (i.e., Sindi, Pastho, and Punjabi) in print, on-line, broadcast, and/or radio and produce 60 – 80 resident trainers via the train-the-trainer program. The applicant will be expected to design a hands-on, skills-based training program, to be presented in the form of short workshops, to improve the competency of professional, working-level reporters and editors in Pakistan. The program is to be proposed by the successful applicant, but should be no fewer than six months. |
