Additional Information on Eligibility:: Eligibility is open to organizations or companies run by Afghan individuals who have participated in a U.S. Government funded program, including but not limited to the International Visitor Leadership Program, the Hubert H. Humphrey fellowship, or the Fulbright Program. Proof of participation in a U.S. Government funded program which qualifies the individual as an alumnus or alumna is required. Alumni who submit proposals must already have an established organization or business, and a proven track record of success in implementing projects in Afghanistan. Afghan organizations must demonstrate current country registration license, competent programmatic ability and be able to meet reporting requirements. Please note: only applications from Afghan alumnus/alumna (of U.S. government programs) will be accepted. Applications from non-Afghan alumnus/alumna (of U.S. Government programs) will not be considered for funding.

Description:: The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan invites all eligible organizations headed by alumni of U.S. government-funded programs to submit a proposal for projects that will provide sustainable economic opportunity, leadership training, and/or increase access to or the quality of education. A successful proposal will come from an established organization to continue constructive work and request funding for a project or program that will be sustainable beyond the period of the grant. Two or more alumni may submit a joint proposal. The proposal should include a detailed plan outlining a clear description of the project or program’s goals and how they will be completed within the specified period of time.
