Additional Information on Eligibility: This Single Source Award is being awarded in accordance with Department of the Interior Policy 505 DM 2.14 B (4) Unique Qualifications which allows for award without competition to an applicant. This recipient is uniquely qualified to perform the stated project objectives in that they have extensive experience in studying fish and their habitat resulting in numerous scientific peer-reviewed journal publications.

Description: This is a Notice of Intent to award a Single Source Cooperative agreement to Wyatt Cross for the
purpose of managing for habitat and invertebrate prey items in order to maximize food resources
for insectivorous bird, mammal, and fish Species
The tasks to be performed under this agreement are as follows: 1) to assess the effects of
management and climate on habitat and invertebrate communities across time and space, and 2)
to determine how these effects impact species that consume insects for reproduction or survival.
This work will start to address effective resource management practices so the Refuge can
achieve its goals for different habitats described in the Comprehensive Conservation Plan.
