Description: |
This announcement is to provide public notice of the NPS’s intention to award a task agreement under a previously competed youth master cooperative agreement P15AC00009. This task agreement will improve trail conditions and repair infrastructure while improving visitor experience and protecting resources. The objective of this task agreement is to support and stimulate work and/or education and training opportunities for young adults through collaborative participation in performing both actual and cultural interpretation including traditional historical interpretation. This will be accomplished by recruiting eight (8) crewmembers and two (2) crew leaders to work alongside NPS staff to perform trail rehabilitation (consisting of trail brushing, erosion control, rock and root removal) on the Greenstone Ridge Trail part of the 161-mile long trails system and campgrounds within the park. The repairs will enhance the trail and campgrounds and improve public safety. |
