The State Geologist, in collaboration with a State Mapping Advisory Committee, sets priorities for the STATEMAP component of the National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program to establish crucial geologic frameworks. Mapping focuses on areas critical for economic, social, or scientific welfare, addressing multiple-issue or single-issue needs, and solving essential earth-science problems. Applicants can apply for this grant until November 25, 2019, to support geologic-map information in key areas identified by the State Geologist and Advisory Committee.
