| Additional Information on Eligibility: | The Ministry of Health (MOH) is the only commissioned governmental agency in the Kingdom of Lesotho responsible for safeguarding public health. As mandated by the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho, the MOH is responsible for coordinating and implementing health services throughout the country. The MOH has committed to reducing new HIV infections in adults and children, AIDS-related deaths, and TB deaths associated with HIV/AIDS.
The MOH has the statutory authority to develop, implement, and oversee regulations related to HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment programs, and other health services throughout the country. The agency manages health care facilities within the public health care sector and ensures that the Basotho people in Lesotho have access to quality healthcare services. Responsibilities include prioritization and decision-making on all development partners and USG-supported HIV/AIDS and related services. This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is designed to increase government-to-government collaborations and to build the capability of MOH as part of a long-term sustainability program. |
