This grant is for the purpose of supporting research on safe and environmentally sound energy production on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) through the University of Alaska Coastal Marine Institute and its system units. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation, and Enforcement (BOEMRE) Environmental Studies Program offers this cooperative agreement to fund studies on oil, natural gas, renewable energy, and marine minerals development.
