This grant is for establishing and supporting Research Centers within the Centers for Research in Emerging Infectious Diseases (CREID) Network. The primary purpose is to advance global understanding of re-emerging and emerging infectious diseases (re/EIDs), particularly in regions prone to outbreaks. Funding will support multi- and inter-disciplinary teams of domestic and international investigators. These teams will conduct innovative, collaborative One Health-based research projects. A critical objective is to enable a rapid and effective research response during outbreaks, fostering strong coordination and cooperation across the CREID Network. The initiative aims to enhance global preparedness and scientific insight into infectious disease threats.
