This grant program seeks to empower communities by addressing critical local food and agriculture needs. Its primary goal is to enhance food security for low-income populations and foster greater community self-reliance in food provision. Proposals should demonstrate comprehensive strategies tackling local food, farm, and nutrition challenges. Funding supports initiatives aimed at improving and developing food infrastructure, devising long-term solutions, or creating innovative marketing channels that simultaneously benefit agricultural producers and low-income consumers. The program encourages projects that develop resilient and equitable local food systems, promoting sustainable access to nutritious food for all.
