Description: |
The objectives of the proposed research effort include:
Monitor and report performance of dredged material placed at beneficial use sites, specifically mine land reclamation and landfill cover sites. Factors to be monitored include, but are not limited to: a. Ecosystem recovery and functionality b. Water quality c. Landscape stability d. Vegetation growth
Successful applicants should have expert knowledge of confined disposal facilities and beneficial use of dredged material. The applicant should also have a record that demonstrates applied research and monitoring experience with both topics. The candidates should have prior experience with monitoring beneficial use sites. The candidates will be required to prepare a Statement of Work and Work Plan regarding the research to be conducted. The candidate will also be required to submit three (3) quarterly status reports and one (1) annual report each year of the contract to provide updates on the work being conducted. |
