| Description: | This notice highlights the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate efforts of the Commercial Mobile Alert Service (CMAS) Research, Development, Testing, and Evaluation (RDT&E) Program as referenced in the Long Range Broad Agency Announcement (LRBAA). Please visit http://bit.ly/ytu7w3 for more detailed information about the LRBAA, including research areas of strategic interest, submission requirements and processes, and evaluation criteria.
The DHS S&T is looking for research in the below areas. Additional detail is available on each of these areas in the LRBAA (pages 13-14). While the LRBAA does not officially close until December 31, 2012, DHS S&T strongly encourages the submission of white papers toward the above listed research topics prior to the closing of this notice. Offerors shall register at https://baa2.st.dhs.gov/portal/BAA/. White papers and full proposals WILL NOT be accepted from unregistered organizations. More about the LRBAA The LRBAA has not allocated a pre-defined level of funding. As such, the provision of funds is an important consideration when an otherwise promising proposal is evaluated. Funding through the LRBAA may be done as a contract, grant, or cooperative agreement. You will be notified of the type of funding your research project is eligible for when and if your white paper is encouraged for the submission of a full proposal. |
