Description: This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites applications for a Center for Evaluation and Coordination of Training and Research (CECTR) in Tobacco Regulatory Science. The CECTR will become a national resource in tobacco regulatory science, will support and conduct an evaluation of the scientific programs funded by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Tobacco Products (CTP), and will facilitate coordination and communications of research and scientific training within those programs. The overall objective of the CECTR is to evaluate and support training and research programs that can inform the FDA CTP in the development and evaluation of tobacco product regulatory activities and actions. Through leadership, evaluation, coordination, and facilitation of collaborative efforts, the CECTR can accelerate the advancement of science relevant to the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (FSPTCA).
