This grant, the Resident Opportunity and Self-Sufficiency (ROSS) Service Coordinators Program, funds the hiring and maintenance of Service Coordinators for conventional Public Housing and Indian housing residents. Its purpose is to assess resident needs and connect them with community resources. For families, the goal is to increase earned income and foster economic and housing self-sufficiency. For elderly and disabled residents, the grant aims to ensure independent living and aging-in-place, preventing full-care facility placement. Applicants specify if coordinators will serve families, elderly, or a mix.
