Description:: This is not a request for applications; this is just an announcement that NPS and the Lackawanna Heritage Valley Authority have entered into a cooperative agreement to continue their work in the The Lackawanna Valley National Heritage Area.
In additiona, the cooperator will:
1. Use funds made available under this Agreement to support the NHA in a manner consistent with the Legislation, the approved Management Plan, and the approved FY13 Annual Work Plan;

2. Include units of local government, regional planning organizations, and nonprofit organizations in implementing the approved management plan;

3. Meet or exceed cost match requirements through securing, obtaining, expending, and documenting non-Federal match expenses.

4. Encourage, by appropriate means, economic viability that is consistent with the purposes of the NHA; and

5. Comply with all applicable State and Federal laws, including, but not limited to, the National Environmental Policy Act and the National Historic Preservation Act.
