Description: Internship Descriptions:
GIP Coordinator â¿¿ The selected individual will work with staff from Stewards, Conservation Legacy, and NPS staff to assist in the day-to-day coordination of the Geoscientists-in-the-Parks partnership with the NPS. Project tasks include the following:
1. preparing program materials, updating websites, and assisting CL/Stewards in the preparation of position descriptions for advertising, selection, and placement, and updating websites and program materials;
2. working closely with Conservation Legacy and Stewards staff to implement GIP Program enhancements;
3. preparing annual program accomplishments report on behalf of Conservation Legacy/Stewards.

GIP Projects in NPS Units â¿¿ NPS funding will be obligated to cover the program support costs and the parkâ¿¿s costs for the GIP positions shown in Attachment A. These GIP interns will work on natural resource science projects. GIP internships based in parks, networks, and central offices will focus on inventory and monitoring, research, and education and outreach projects.
