Description: This Dear Colleague Letter is intended to facilitate interactions between Principal Investigators (PIs), co-PIs, post-doctoral scholars and both undergraduate and graduate students supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and scientists and engineers at the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST). NIST operates a vast array of instruments and measurement systems, both commercial equipment and specialized tools developed by NIST researchers. Researchers from industry, academia, and non-profit organizations interested in working collaboratively with NIST researchers on projects of mutual interest may access these systems as part of that research. Supplemental support to existing NSF awards may be requested to allow PIs, co-PIs, post-doctoral scholars and both undergraduate and graduate students on these awards to participate in such collaborative research at NIST.
