Additional Information on Eligibility: | There is one (1) watershed assessment to be completed in the western portion of Massachusetts. This assessment will be based on the HUC12 (Hydraulic Unit Code) watersheds identified as: Upper Manhan River (Headwaters to North Brook)– HUC12 Code 10802010608— located primarily in the Towns of Westhampton and Southampton, Massachusetts.The project shall not exceed 18 months in duration. Applicants should plan their projects based on an estimated project start date of July 27, 2022.The full announcement identifies the objectives, eligibility criteria, and application instructions for projects. Proposals will be screened for completeness and compliance with the provisions of this notice. Incomplete and/or noncompliant proposals will be eliminated from competition and notification of elimination will be sent to the applicant. |

NRCS has $50,000 total available funds for this cooperative agreement award. The agreement will be with a qualifying, eligible organization that has expertise in watershed assessment plans and is specifically capable of using the assessment template found in this funding opportunity. The partner will share similar goals with NRCS: Support Healthy Watersheds and Diverse Land Use Communities, protect communities and people through rehabilitated watershed structures, enhance and improve water quality and water quantity, and provide habitat for diverse and important fish and wildlife species.
