| Description: | Weill Medical College of Cornell University/New York City Elder Abuse Center (Cornell Medical) is implementing training and technical assistance (TTA) for the “Transforming America’s Response to Elder Abuse: Enhanced Multidisciplinary Teams (E-MDTs) for Older Victims of Abuse and Financial Exploitation” Program. This program addresses the trauma-informed response to the crime of elder abuse and financial exploitation with a multidisciplinary (MDT) approach. Under a separate competitive solicitation, up to 10 additional project sites will be selected to develop E-MDTs to address victims of elder abuse and financial exploitation and work to increase training and professional partner engagement to address and help better respond to the needs of elder victims of abuse and financial exploitation at the community level.Under this noncompetitive solicitation, Cornell Medical will be funded to support the 10 additional case-review E-MDT project sites through active technical assistance and other methods to facilitate cross-site learning.Statutory Authority: This project is authorized by 34 U.S.C. § 20103(c)(1)(A) |
