Description: |
This program supports the development of the country’s democratic institutions and civil society by competitively awarding small grants to nonprofit, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and associations, to nonprofit civil society organizations (CSOs), and to independent local media organizations in the Kyrgyz Republic. Applicants are strongly encouraged to consult with other NGOs and partners on potential collaborations, such as a regional NGO collaborating with a Bishkek-based organization or a regional NGO collaborating with another regional NGO, that may strengthen the proposed program. In addition, the Embassy strongly encourages proposals that include partnership with and support for Kyrgyz state institutions, and grantees that demonstrate experience working with relevant governmental authorities. The Public Diplomacy Section (PDS) of the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic is soliciting Statements of Interest for grants from Kyrgyz civil society and independent media organizations that focus on one of the priority areas/themes specified in NOFO. Applicants should pay close attention to PDS priority goals, program areas, target audiences, and geographic location when developing their proposals. Statements of Interest, including the short budget proposal, cannot exceed three pages. Proposals which exceed the three-page limit will be disqualified from consideration. |
