Additional Information on Eligibility: | The following organizations are eligible to apply: • Not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations Applicants must have experience in the areas of voter education and election observation training. Specific experience in implementing democracy watch technical assistance projects is highly desirable. Additionally, applicants must: • Demonstrate experience implementing projects similar to those addressed in this NOFO; and • Demonstrate expertise in providing technical assistance in the areas of voter education and election observation in Seychelles. Description: |
Program Objectives: The program seeks to engage local NGO and other relevant elections stakeholders to conduct voter education, short-term election observer training, and material and transportation support for elections observers during the election. The program should meet the following objectives: 1) Support a series of voter education and information outreach events, as well as media engagement ahead of the 2020 elections; 2) Conduct a short-term elections observer training event over the course of two weeks for up to 40 elections observers; 3) Procure materials required for election observers; and 3) Provide assistance for transportation of elections observers and equipment on election day. Participants and Audiences: The target audience for this project is all voters in Seychelles as well as 40 election observers. |
