The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) is offering this grant to support civil society organizations in Ukraine. This grant is for the purpose of funding survivor-centered and trauma-informed projects that strengthen efforts to investigate and document conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV) crimes and abuses committed against Ukrainian citizens since February 2022. Responding to Russia’s full-scale invasion, the initiative aims to build robust evidence of these prevalent atrocities. Programming will ultimately advance the pursuit of truth and justice for victims and survivors, and ensure accountability for crimes committed in violation of international human rights and humanitarian law, ensuring a sensitive and effective approach to documentation.
