The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is offering the competitive NAWCA US Standard Grants Program to fund public-private partnerships across the United States. This matching grant supports projects that align with the North American Wetlands Conservation Act, focusing on the long-term protection, restoration, enhancement, or establishment of wetland and associated upland habitats. The primary goals are to benefit the diversity of wetland ecosystems, maintain abundant waterfowl populations, and conserve other wetlands-associated migratory birds, consistent with major bird conservation plans. A 1:1 non-federal match is required, and research funding is ineligible. This program advances the Department of Interior’s mission by fostering land and water conservation, supporting climate resilience, boosting biodiversity, and expanding outdoor recreation opportunities through collaborative partnerships.
