Specifically, we are seeking unique and innovative proposals for projects to be conducted in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin that will advance NPDES program strategies to: decrease costs for wastewater treatment through asset management and energy efficiency; using green infrastructure to control storm water and reduce impacts of wet weather flows; create incentives for projects that include sustainable infrastructure elements; and increase public awareness of the full cost of operating and maintaining wastewater treatment systems. These priorities and example projects are further defined below. |
