The Youth Development and Economic Affairs Department is offering the ‘Uzbekistan Youth Work Readiness and Entrepreneurship’ Grant to enhance youth labor market participation.

This grant, the Uzbekistan Youth Work Readiness and Entrepreneurship Activity, is for a five-year initiative aimed at empowering Uzbek youth in grades 8-11 to effectively participate in the labor market. The core purpose is to equip them with essential work-readiness, soft skills, and entrepreneurial capabilities. This will be achieved by enhancing the quality and relevance of curriculum and teaching practices in both school-based and afterschool programs, within a strengthened supportive environment. Key objectives include improving the quality of school-based economics and entrepreneurship programs, enhancing afterschool entrepreneurship and work readiness initiatives, and fostering an enabling environment that supports and engages youth for future employment opportunities.
