Additional Information

Agency Name: Fish and Wildlife Service
Description: The Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge (Refuge) and California Department of Parks and Recreation (CDPR) are partners in the management of the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve (Reserve). The Refuge and CDPR own adjacent lands and share common boundaries and our goal is to seamlessly manage these lands in a cooperative and coordinated manner. Law enforcement responsibilities and responses on the Refuge and CDPR lands are closely coordinated because of the adjacent land ownership. In addition, law enforcement officers from the Refuge and CDPR are co-located at the Refuge office in Imperial Beach, California. Refuge law enforcement officers also work closely with the California Department of Parks and Recreation at the San Diego Bay Refuge and Silver Strand State Beach. The dispatch and emergency communications services would assist Refuge law enforcement officers when working at the San Diego Refuge. The Complex does not operate its own dispatch service.
