This grant is for the purpose of restoring vital whitefish passage in Antelope Creek. The Antelope 4 diversion, located on an intermittent channel, currently obstructs whitefish access upstream to the Big Lost River and the perennial sections of Antelope Creek. Trout Unlimited, in collaboration with a private landowner, is leading an effort to install a new diversion structure at the Splitter. This project will eliminate the current blockage, providing whitefish with unimpeded access to nine miles of Antelope Creek. The initiative aims to significantly improve fish migration and ecological health within this crucial aquatic system.
