This grant, offered by the U.S. Department of Education’s Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP), is designed to support eligible institutions of higher education (IHEs). The primary purpose is to help these institutions achieve self-sufficiency and significantly expand their capacity to effectively serve low-income students. Funding provided through this program aims to improve and strengthen various critical aspects of participating IHEs, including their overall academic quality, institutional management practices, and long-term fiscal stability.
